🔨🏠 The Big Build Keeps Rolling at Grant Career Center!

Today we had an awesome group on campus as we welcomed students from **Felicity Elementary** along with several **homeschooled students** for another incredible day of The Big Build!

Students kicked things off in the classroom, sharpening their math skills—area, perimeter, measurement, and fractions—then headed into the lab to put those skills to work building small-scale homes using real tools.

Led by Kenny Carter and Math Instructor Brian Carter and supported by our outstanding high school students, the day was packed with hands-on learning, teamwork, and a whole lot of pride in what they built.

We love seeing these students light up as learning comes to life! Can’t wait to keep it going with more schools in the days ahead.

🎨 Student Creativity on Display! 👟📸

Students from the Grant Career Center Digital Media satellite program at New Richmond High School , taught by Shellby Cockerham, recently showcased their work at the annual district-wide art show held at the school board office.

Featured projects included:

📷 Photographs from Mrs. Cockerham’s Photographic Composition course, highlighting student skill in composition, lighting, and visual storytelling

👟 Cultural Kicks, a creative, research-based project completed by students in the Introduction to Media Arts class, where students designed custom shoes inspired by culture, identity, and personal expression.

We’re proud to see our students sharing their creative talents with the community and applying real-world design and media arts skills beyond the classroom!

Big-time moment for Grant Nation—this one hits different.

In addition to our students showing out and performing incredibly well at the HOSA State Leadership Conference, we’re proud to share that both of our leaders brought home top honors:

Your leadership, vision, and commitment to our students continue to set the standard. This recognition is well deserved and a direct reflection of the culture you’ve helped build at Grant Career Center.
