FFA Cattle Auction Set for Tonight at Grant Career Center

The Grant Career Center FFA Chapter will host its annual Cattle Auction tonight, bringing together students, families, and community members to celebrate months of hard work and hands-on learning.

The event will take place Friday, April 24, with a grill-out beginning at 6:00 PM and the auction starting at 7:00 PM.

Students will be showcasing and auctioning a variety of livestock, including cattle, sheep, rabbits, and ducks. Featured market cattle include:

Hereford heifer – 937 lbs
Guernsey steer – 640 lbs
Belted Galloway – 616 lbs
Angus Simmental cross – 551 lbs

Each animal has been raised and cared for by students as part of their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs, highlighting their dedication, responsibility, and agricultural skill development.

This event is rain or shine and offers the community a chance to directly support student success while investing in high-quality, locally raised livestock.

Proceeds from the auction directly benefit students and their agricultural projects.

All are welcome to attend and support Grant Nation as our students continue to “Choose to be Great.”
