InService

Grant Career Center proudly welcomed staff from Southern Hills Career Technical Center for a dynamic and engaging in-service day centered on innovation, collaboration, and the future of education.

The day brought together educators and leaders from both districts, creating a powerful opportunity to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and focus on what matters most—preparing students for success in a rapidly evolving world.

The in-service featured keynote speaker Dr. Wendy Fogle-Hanasky, who led an inspiring and thought-provoking session on artificial intelligence and its growing impact on education. Her message challenged staff to think differently about instruction, engagement, and the role technology will play in shaping tomorrow’s workforce. Through real-world examples and practical strategies, she encouraged educators to embrace AI as a tool to enhance learning while maintaining strong relationships with students.

Superintendents Mike Parry (Grant Career Center) and Kevin Kratzer (Southern Hills Career Technical Center) both shared remarks highlighting the importance of collaboration between career technical institutions. They emphasized that by working together, schools can better serve students, support staff, and remain at the forefront of workforce development.

The day was made possible through the dedication and planning of a committed team of staff members. Grant Career Center Principal Barry Daulton took time to recognize and thank the committee for their hard work in organizing a meaningful and impactful professional learning experience.

Throughout the day, staff participated in sessions, discussions, and collaborative activities designed to spark new ideas and strengthen instructional practices. The energy across campus reflected a shared commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence.

Events like this inservice reinforce the strength of partnerships between career technical schools and highlight a unified mission: to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in both their careers and communities.

Grant Career Center is proud to host opportunities that bring educators together, inspire new thinking, and continue building a culture of excellence for students across the region.
